Josephine and the Governor were married for 25 years before they were blessed with Oliver, but it soon became apparent that he was a sickly child. After numerous hospital visits and treatment, he is now 100% healthy, but she refuses to believe this. So when she began to worry about the city smog, she shipped him off the countryside. Josephine is a short-term NPC. She will stay in the valley for approximately a year, whilst the farmer plays through her story arc, helping her to learn to stop stifling her son so much and also regain something of herself so that she is no longer just Oliver's mom and the Governor's wife, but Josephine. She will not move out until the player has finished her story arc.

Josephine and Oliver will arrive at the East Scarp Inn during winter of year one.
