Jacob lost his wife some years ago after a long illness. He has been raising Eloise, their daughter, alone ever since. Jacob is reserved, and at first may seem a little aloof but that is more because he struggles with small talk. Once you have got to know him, however, he will start to open up a little more. He works as a mobile vet, and on Tuesdays takes his van around the greater valley area. He is fiercely devoted to his daughter and clings to the memory of his beloved late wife, Delilah.
